There's actually just one thing you can depend on in this life - it will all go on. Whether you like it or not, things are going to change.
Things are going to alter, conform, adjust, and morph throughout time, and to be truthful, you have really no control of what really occures. Yes, we might have certain ideas for what we want to see in our future - but actually it is out of control when we really take the time to consider it.
If we dive into the land of the past, the place we can really never take a trip back to, we truly begin to experience the same actual reality too - what's done is done and we can never change it. Sure, we might possibly be able to hide it from other people who don't know better in the present, but actually, what has happened will invariably be there in the back of our minds. We must learn to accept our past and move forward with dignity. There is no other way.
We must allow life to go on.
We must truly allow ourselves to let go of the past and stop always targeting the future to give us a fair chance to live in the present.
The present, really when it boils down to it, is the single time that we honestly have. And yet, so many folks seem to live everywhere but in it. Many are stuck in the tar of the past or are making an attempt to swim to the future as fast as they can - only to find that living in both these places yields absolutely nothing.
So be right here and now.
