A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep. Game Of Thrones, George R.R. Martin
We are living in a pretty coarse world.
Each time an individual rises in this world there are 100 vicious wolves making an attempt to bring him or her down. They come out in packs with their piercing sharp teeth looking for methods to destroy anything they can sink into... and often, they're pretty successful in doing it. It's horrible what happens to people these days who are endeavoring to do something in this world. It doesn't matter if it's positive even, the wolves will always find a way. I assume this is the way that it has always been? Maybe it'll always be this way.
But we need a new type of hero.
We need a lion who doesn't concern itself with the views of those sheep who've never tried and failed in the arena. That's the sort of hero we need. Not someone that was born great, but a man or woman who built themselves from the ashes in the depths and who will regularly take a stand for what they have a belief in and what they adore.
Wouldn't that give the people something to root for? I believe as a society we are obsessive about perfect figures - whether or not that be a body or a character. We idealize this concept of perfection and yet there really is no such thing. What we actually need is someone who admits imperfection and celebrates it. And, in spite of that imperfection, tries to grow every single day and bring light into the world.
We really require someone who will rise confidently above all the foolishness and take a stand for something greater than merely cash, sex, drugs, and so on. We need an ordinary man or woman - ready to be extraordinary in faith, love, and compassion.
