The Amazing Benefits Of Feng Shui Bagua

By Edward Cook

Many people have heard of this practice because it is a highly popular way to read a room and see how its individual sections can be improved to benefit the whole. Some people may have heard of feng shui bagua referred to as ba-gua or even pakua, but it all means the same thing: mapping out the energy pathways of a house and seeing how they relate to a person's life. The ancient masters of this practice determined that there were eight parts of life that come into play.

It is hard to find an ancient practice that everyone can agree on. While some people will stick to the old ways forever, other people have found more easy and accessible ways of doing things that, in some people's opinions, work better in the modern day for the modern person. The Western pakua techniques and the more classical versions both have their strengths and are completely legitimate, and it is a matter of taste.

Using a compass to get readings at the front door and in other places of a building or space is essential for this process to work. That not only means that a functional compass must be available, but that there is someone who can accurately read a compass as well. These readings set up the whole rest of the practice, so it is important to be precise.

With the right information and preparation, it is possible to perform this kind of practice on all kinds of spaces. However, since many spaces are quite different, it is good to know how these difference impact the feng shui. There are plenty of resources with information about all kinds of spaces.

It is always better to start out with an option that is less complicated and overwhelming for someone who has never tried it before. This makes the more modern version of the practice more preferable to newcomers. A simpler process makes mistakes less likely to be made.

There are nine squares or sectors all together in the modern or Western form of pakua, also known as BTB. Once the house is divided up, eight sectors are correlated to the person's life in different ways. The last sector is known as the Yin Yang point, which is also called the Heart of the Home.

After every part of the house has been broken down into a sector, it is time to decide which part of a person's life relates to which of these sectors. This is not a matter of guessing and choosing, as there are predetermined factors that have to do with where things are physically located. Tending to the specific needs of all areas has been found to have a great benefit on the whole.

Ancient traditions from long ago helped the masters in this practice determine exactly which part of a space relate to which specific area in life. The northern part of a house, for instance, is the one that relates to a person's career. Love and marriage have to do with the southwest area. In addition, all of the sectors have their own color and element that is unique to them.
