The Christian faith is the only people who believe in Jesus as their savior. The Bible itself mentions Jesus before he is even bored. Some of the prophets in the old testament gave prophecies about his coming to the world to wash away the sins of human beings. The article describes some of the prophecies about Jesus.
The first one is where God said he would bless the world through the lineage of Abraham. He would bless those who bless them and curse those who cursed them. Sure enough, the heirs and offspring of the prophets and servants of the Lord who made covenants with God in the past were blessed and corrected from the error of their ways.
David is another man from the bible who truly left a mark in the world. He was one of the most blessed men to walk the other. These blessings can be traced back to Abraham who made so many covenants with God. Jesus also descended from the lineage of David as he was severally referred to as Jesus son of David, son of Abraham.
The prophet Isaiah said that the Messiah would be born of a virgin. This is recorded in the book of Isaiah 7:14. Like many other prophecies made by the prophet Isaiah, it came to pass a lot later in life. According to Like 1:35, an angel of the Lord appeared to Mary and told her that she was going to have a son through the power of the holy spirit.
According to the book of Hosea 11:1, the Messiah would at some point find himself in the land of Egypt. It never said why but surely, Son of God was taken to Egypt shortly after his birth. He fled because all the newborn baby boys were to be killed by the orders of King Herod. After the passing on of King Herod, they went back to Egypt as indicated on Matthew 2:14-15.
Christ was to be inated in Bethlehem. A prophet of the lord known as Micah prophesied that he would be given in Bethlehem of Judea. This is according to the book of Micah 5:2. It eventually came to pass as the teachers of the law supported this statement by referring to the previous prophecy. He indeed would be born in Bethlehem as indicated on Matthew 2:4-6.
It is well known that the devil was the reason why humanity was kicked out of the garden of Eden. God vowed that enmity would always brew from the human beings and the agents of the devil. God, however, wanted to save humankind from eternal doom. This is why sent Son of God to destroy the work of the devil according to 1st John 3:8.
People used to place all of their sins on a blemish-free animal, mostly purely white colored and then sacrifice it to God as a way of repenting. This is according to Exodus 12:5. However, Son of God came to the world to take on the sins of every human being. He was a sinless soul and was, therefore, the ultimate sacrifice. Hebrews 9:14.
